Kenya: The impact is great

This is a brief testimony by; PASTOR JULIA NCEKEI IRERI of KIIRUA REVELATION CHURCH MERU She says that she is grateful for the gifts she received and she took time to pray for guidance by the Holy Spirit. She also observed instructions given to her during seminars by the OCC national leaders.

Many children and their parents turned up. During the service there was a mighty move of the Holy Spirit that God visited them in a mighty way.  The impact is great since some boys who were lost in the streets accepted Jesus as their personal savior. She says that one parent who had a son with this problem gave a moving testimony while crying and has now joined that church since his son’s life had changed.

She has noted growth in the church population and Sunday school children are reading their Greatest Journey books with the help of their Sunday school teachers. She has also organized with parents whose children have received gift boxes to pray every month for the whole organization Internationally, Nationally and Locally.

What would your last day look like?

I saw this quote on Facebook the other day and this should make us all think.  Many times, I have heard this question and I have thought, have fun, spend time with friends and family, all selfish things.  Then I read this.  It made me stop in my tracks.

Jesus washed feet when he knew he was about to die.

Let that sink in.

Thursday Bible Studies

On Thursday evenings my best friend and I have dinner and bible study.  We attempt to go thru a book or specific study, right now we are trying to go thru the 12 disciples in depth study.

We have found that we may start on topic, but then ver off on something else that the Lord had showed us in his Scriptures.  For example, we both recently have heard people speak about the ark and the animals.  Christine recently was up at the Ark Encounter and I heard someone say that the animals were brought into the ark by "7's".  I was like wait, what?  I've always heard 2 by 2.  This is just a great example of why we need to study scriptures for ourselves.  Researched this and found that Genesis 6:19 and Genesis 7:2, 3 show the TRUTH.

Genesis 6:19 "And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female".

Genesis 7:2, 3 "You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two of each animals that are unclean, a male and his female; also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of the earth".

This information found from blueletterbible.org is where the following information came from according to Don Stewart.

Clean And Unclean

This often-brought up question has a simple explanation. The seven of each animal were clean animals-to be used for sacrifice as well as for food. The remainder of the animals that went to the ark included a male and a female. This is explained in Genesis 7.

Two of each animal entered the ark along with seven of each clean animal. The clean animals entered for purpose of sacrifice and for food for Noah and his family.

That being said it makes total sense that it was actually more than just "2" of each kind of animal.  Noah didn't know how long he would be in the ark.  Noah, his family and the animals would need to have some form of food to eat while in the ark.

How many times do we just take what someone says without questioning it ourselves and researching to see what the Bible says, and not what we believe from someone else.

Perseverance

Double Nickles

This year I will be double nickels, that is crazy.  For my birthday, I am having a Trades of Hope on line party to support women around the world who are getting out of Human Trafficking, poverty, providing a safe life for their children.

Human Trafficking continues to rise as well we are starting to hear more and more about this issue.  Thank you for the movie that is out now "Sound of Freedom" bringing awareness to this heinous topic.

Party Time

Some fantastic deals are happening right now, here are some examples:

Warmer Cleaning and wax swap

In 2019 I started a business in home fragrance by partnering with Scentsy.  Initially it was because of the licensed partnership with Disney, Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.  My site is Crabshack - Scentsy Site.

Today is Wax changing day, cleaning the warmer day.

WOAH, my dish was dirty, it took a little counter cleaner and "elbow grease" and it came out beautifully clean.  Here is my beautiful kitchen warmer that is warming some Cinnamon Buttercream.

It one looks at the bottom of the dish it should tell you how many cubes can be placed into the dish.  I have placed 3 in the dish, it is already smelling fantastic in  here.

What's your favorite fragrance?  What are you warming?

Stress, Monkey and Circus's

Have you ever felt like you were in the middle of undue stress only because others are not doing what they need to do, or should be doing, and they are trying to put everything on you for you to solve a situation?

I have felt that way for a couple weeks now.  Very frustrating, but those who know me know that when my mind is made up it takes a lot to change it, and it is the Lord who changes it, not caving into a situation.  My yes is yes and my no is no.

I will not take on another's responsibilities or actions that they need to take.

I feel like this has been a motto for a couple years now.

What do you do when you feel that you are being pulled into a circus?

I will say that yes, I have monkey's, we all do to some extent.

The difference?  My monkey's fly and soar, in confined cages.  I try not to put my monkey's on other people for them to resolve issues for me.  My monkey's = my responsibility, not yours.

I take my monkey's to the Lord.  Why?  Because he knows the best way to deal with the monkey's in my life.

On another note, this year my word has been perseverance and boy have I been tested with persevering in all circumstances.

Some dreams that I would like to persevere after, one day these will come to fruition, just need to get my monkey's off my back to get my focus and vision back.

  • Going back to school to get my Masters Degree, not sure what area I want that to be in.  I've thought about getting my degree in Missiology or Theology.  I originally started that degree in the early 90's working towards a bachelor's degree and that got side tracked.
  • Going back to school to get a Certificates in Security or Auditing Compliance.
  • The ability to travel, both for personal desires and to share the gospel message
