Prayers for flight attendants and pilots

 It's getting so exciting, in just 15 days I will be able to checkin for my flights.  

As I continue to prepare for the trip I am reminded that everything part of the journey is an opportunity to share the love of Jesus.  

In many of the vlogs that I have been watching on flight travel so many vloggers have stated having a small gift for the flight attendants goes a long way.  That made me think, what a great idea and a way to share the love of Jesus with each person, possibly opening the door to a conversation about their relationship with the Lord.  

I have ordered some gifts for them.  I found this nice prayer to include with each small gift.  

I know it will increase the weight of my luggage, and I'm ok with that if it means sharing Jesus and planting a seed, watering a seed or cultivating that relationship.

As the trip gets closer I am still reaching out to churches to set up speaking engagements the Lord is opening doors to sharing the gospel message and how a shoebox changes the lives of the children, their family and potentially a village.

So it is strongly suggested to pack carry on only.  Hard for me, cause i have my camera that will be going with ne and DUH, souvenirs. 

So, I have in this suitcase an extra bag for coming home.  All about planning.  

Grateful for Opportunities

 Today as I reflect on what will be transpiring in a little over a month (36 days), but who is counting.  ME, ME, thats who.

I was reminded of a book that I read when I graduated with my first AA degree in 1994.  The book "10,000 things to Praise God for".  I am truly thankful for the opportunities that the Lord gives me on a daily basis.  

Just a few examples.  So, I have thought about my upcoming trip and keeping a list of things that I am thankful for.  It's the minute to grandiose things in life, what it boils down to is an attitude of gratitude.  

What are you thankful for?

I'll start.  Today I am thankful for:

my job

being able to rest

having a car

having those that I am able to wash and dry

clean water

Flights are comfirmed

 This week I received my flight information.  

It's getting closer.  Team calls will begin soon.  

I am on the "Green Team", which is just one of the teams that will be observing shoebox distributions.

This past weekend we had our annual Connect Conference, which is always amazing and always pumps me up.  We learned about unreached people groups that are no longer unreached.  We heard about the impact of a shoebox on children around the world.

Ivory Coast Shoebox Recipient

This week was the first time I have heard from a recipient of a shoebox that I either packed or at a church that packed shoeboxes.  How exciting.  I know the boxes get to children, it's always nice to get a response.
